Bigots definitely didn’t help, but I know far more people who didn’t go simply because “why would I want to see that?” Vs bigots

Right? Like what the fuck do you think you’ve done with the whole YouTube platform there?
I immediately knew the moment you were talking about, and I died a bit on the inside for each of those. I do love Jane Austen though
Yeah I get that kids will like it simply because flashy colors and snow white, I’m disappointed that parents are more like “No, that’s what we call a cash grab, we have snow white at home” or at least wait until it’s on streaming.
I’ve learned to never underestimate parents taking their kids to the box office. No matter how bad, or cheap, or cash grab, parents will still happily schlepp the kids to the movie theater to see yet another Hollywood vomit pile.
Dear God how shitty is that. “We never said it was ten gig you stupid moron”. We just took a fairly standard industry term and flipped it around.
Unless you absolutely need CUDA for AI workloads, I only recommend AMD for Linux at this point
Not sure If I should be happy they’re folding or sad for them. The industry is suffering and they made some amazing films, but they also got wrapped up in this franchise hell, making things like matrix resurrections. If they were still making new thoughtful movies like oceans 11 and the original matrix that would be different
This guy technologies
It’s bittersweet she said no to returning for a 4th. She saw it was going to be a turd and knew her career was moving up, and would only be hurt by it. Kudos to her for seeing that. Shame on the studio for wanting it to be a turd
I think it depends on the type of movie. Action or superhero? A cameo from Sam Jackson is always fun. Comedy? Will Smith, or someone like Tina Fey.
However, you’re absolutely right, for any movie or show Rachel McAdams enhances it. Game Night would have been an absolute bore but she made it honestly really funny. Eurovision Song Contest: Story of Fire Saga is amazing with her and Will Farrell. She turned the turd that was True Detective from unwatchable to, well it was still a turd but she was one of the highlights of it. Oh and About Time? Just perfect, tears throughout.
I got that vibe too, and that vibe with a lot of movies now. Everything has to become a trilogy, nothing can just be good on it’s own
Jupiter Ascending was doing some awesome stuff with worldbuilding that you can tell the studio just wimped out on. Can’t get too sci fi, might scare away audiences.
No matter where you are in an organization, unless you’re csuite, you’re nothing. Always remember that. You do not get a say, your opinion is tolerated at best. I’ve known people at MSFT for decades and they think they’re opinion matters. It doesn’t. Tomorrow some exec will come in and stomp on you. Work to live, don’t live to work. Them saying this is good, but I like to remind people that they won’t care. Money talks.
This is showing that they know about Lemmy, which to a huge corporation like that is huge. It means they’re starting to take it seriously.
Good. Let them sweat.
Sorry you had your account taken away because of it. I’ll use my throwaways now to evangelize it.
Wow what an original title.
