All the Jurrasic World movies too.
It is the absolute best movie with a combination of animation and real people because of how they handled the interaction between the cartoons and the people.
Plus the plot, story, characters, and execution are all top notch.
It was originally produced as a direct to hbo/max movie, then sold to a small distribution company who didn’t do much advertising.
Max also pulled all the old Looney Tunes shorts from max, because apparently cartoons that were originally aimed at adults in theaters isn’t media for an adult audience that max is going for.
I think the Warner Bros executives don’t have a sense of humor and therefore hate Looney Tunes.
It was released last Friday in the US, so this would be less than a week in the theaters. It was number 5 or so for the last week as well, so while it wasn’t a monetary success out of the gate it wasn’t like it pulled in zero dollars.
Heck, word of mouth could have worked in its favor, but guess we will never know. At least it was released instead of thrown in the trash like Coyote vs ACME.
Fucking Zaslav.
Ewww, no.
The dwarves look awful, the dialog is clunky and cliched, and I would rather just watch the original.
While I like the movie overall, I don’t get the hype about the diner scene with the jump scare. Even watched a couple video essays explaining it and don’t understand how it does what people say it does.
I gave them an updoot for answering the question even though my personal opinion is that the two new Dune movies are top 10 movies of all time.
Nothing appeals to everyone, and I dislike a lot of critically acclaimed movies and other media because while they just don’t resonate with me. Top Gun Maverick was a mediocre retread of so many movies that came before it that while it was well executed from a technical perspective, I found it forgettable and don’t understand the hype.
Yes, and it was a lot more fun that working.
Maybe you played shitty games?
They did a bang up job on publicity already.
