Whoops, forgot it was still Thursday, I accidentally posted this a day early. Oh well, bottom line: skip this.
People want original stories.
People often say that, but box office grosses tell a different story.
Robert Pattinson dies a bunch of times. Also, Mark Ruffalo is Trump.
$53 million global opening weekend sounds like pretty good business to me.
Unfortunately, the movie’s budget is $118 million, not including the $80 million Warner Bros. spent to market the movie. And they have to split the revenue 50-50 with the theaters.
Factoring all of those, Mickey 17 would need to make at least $300 million just to break even.

If not, then I guess anything from Aardman or Cartoon Saloon.
Would’ve been the easiest recast to do, since they’ve already established multiversial counterparts don’t always look the same.
