I have no sympathy for GAFAM, but Mozilla sucks even more and you can’t convince me otherwise.

Whatever. Not European, so the European flag has no reason to be there.
Librewolf is not European at all. It’s just some custom configuration of FF, which is eminently from an USA Corp. If FF dies, Librewolf dies as well. That’s anything but “independence”. Same goes for Vivaldi (Chromium) and any other usable browser you may think.
I was feeling indulgent.
See? I don’t mind what you say or what you may ask, so I simply choose to ignore you.
I was downvoted pretty heavily by lemmy standards
You shouldn’t really mind too much this echochamber, tbh.
If you are from EU, I think it’s forbidden to disallow exporting your data. I may be wrong.
If I remember correctly, Thunderbird isn’t a Mozilla product anymore but it’s maintained by the community. Mozilla just hosts it.
That was a shitty reply with paternalistic attitude. The kind of fundamentalist attitude which alienates people from some communities. I use Linux and FOSS exclusively since decades, but if I happily fire up a VM to use some CS software that is only available for Windows, if that allows me to do my job better or faster. I don’t need some stranger in the internet telling me that my workflow is broken because of “principles”. These people better stay in my block list.
My account, my rules.
Nobody asked your opinion. Bye to you too.
The one which works better for you. Using a browser you aren’t comfortable with or with issues for your use case isn’t that smart.
You seem to wanting to school me about what my preference should be. I’ll happily block you. Bye.
I think OP means that one shouldn’t boycott FOSS projects just because they are from USA. That said, I don’t like to be told what I have to do and don’t agree to “FOSS projects, which should always be preferred to corporate software”. My pc, my LAN, my rules.
It’s chromium, thus evil, according to the narrow minded community.
Who cares about downvotes from people which become irrational about a browser engine, lol.
Nothing. Just echo chamber hysteria.
I’m no Betterbird. For mail it’s just fine. OTOH, I find the calendar a bit annoying, as doesn’t allow to set email reminders when creating new event in a caldav calendary.
