Agreed. I didn’t consume many reviews until after I watched it and was confused. Did people go in expecting a different genre of movie? Something more artsy and less humorous maybe? It’s not going to win Oscars, but it is a solid adaption of the book and representative of the genre.
The prompt was for thoughts on “sigma” label. That’s my thought on the topic: those who self-identify in those terms are very tightly coorelated with those I want to avoid. So I find it very useful.

Lots of hate for the alpha/beta/sigma self-labels here. Not me, I love them. I adore when a person waves their big red flags front and center proudly so I know not to waste time on them. Keep it up, alpha bros 🙏. No need to self-reflect past putting yourself into one of three buckets (two, really bc who tf identifies as a “beta”).

If it’s not so terrible that you dread every day, keep it and the paycheck while you look for another job. As soon as you have a new job lined up, quit.
You seem concerned about making it easy on them, maybe help them out a few weeks to soften the blow. Don’t bother, you’re taking up their time and training resources that they could be spending on the next person who is going to replace you.
Be professional in how you quit, but don’t be a doormat. Remember this company could lay you off at any moment and the “best” company will only be professional. They aren’t your friends. Match that energy.
I grew up with two little mutt terriers of some sort. One loved swimming, the other didn’t. I’d go out lake kayaking with the non-swimmer perched in front, content to watch. The swimmer would chug alongside my kayak like a little tugboat. That lad would swim for miles if I let him. The finest of summer days spent in the water with those two.
