the quotes from executives where they’re just blaming the press are wild. it’s crazy to just set twenty million dollars on fire and have not even a shred of self reflection or accountability. “they didn’t like it for some reason.” that’s crazy bro. too bad it’s impossible to know why a critic hates something

The movie had Sydney Sweeney in a skintight spiderwoman costume.

They still managed to fuck it up, it takes actual skill to do that.

The whole movie could’ve just been her in the suit doing gymnastics and it would’ve made a billion dollars, but they had to ruin it with a “plot” so bad even AI can tell you it’s nonsense 😀

Sure but an actor can choose not to do a movie when the script is terrible. Doing a movie and then blaming other people isn’t cool. You win together, you lose together. If the movie was a big hit, you can bet she would be taking credit.

It was obvious from start to end she didn’t know shit about what she was involved in. Probably thought the script sucked hard, but figured all super hero movie scripts are like that (which isn’t far off). She saw the money those kinds of movies are making and wanted in. She did the bare minimum and gave zero effort. Then when it flops she goes and blames other people, not a good look at all.

Ofc she wanted those money and what’s bad in that? There is high chance that there was no approved script when she signed the contract. Just some earli drafts or ideas.

Crappy movie is not her fault for shire but I also don’t think she should blame anyone. (It’s really obvious that execs are to blame here)
